About Us

Kilsyth Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Club is a vision, a vocation and a labour of love for all who are associated with it. What started as an wistful idea in mid 2004 became a reality at the beginning on 2005 when local support, including our many business benefactors, encouragement from the boxing community and feedback from boxers of the future gave us the drive and enthusiasm to take the first tentative steps.

As former members of Croy Miners ABC we owe a great deal to our former trainers and coaches who selflessly gave up so much of their time and energy to ensure that we were armed with the skills to succeed in the ring and the values which have taught us to respect others at all times.

We hope to pass on some of those values and skills to the next generation and to give back to our community the chances we were given in the past. Kilsyth Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Club will be a non sectarian, unprejudiced and non judgemental project which will be for the benefit of all members and the local community which we hope will share a sense of pride as we see our young men and women develop as sportspeople and individuals.
